While the big ones are best used for jack-o-lanterns on Halloween, but smaller gourds and pumpkins can look great on your Thanksgiving table. Using pumpkins as table decor can be as easy as placing the pumpkins in a bowl or basket, even a tall hurricane candle holder if they’re small enough to fit. However, there are some ways to spruce up the gourds to make more of a statement on your table. One of the best ways to do this is with paint. If you have some extra time and want to get creative, find some paint that matches your color scheme and grab a brush. Use painter’s tape to make horizontal lines on your pumpkin, paint the untapped sections, and let the paint dry before removing the tape. Your striped pumpkin will look modern and fun.
